Analysis of Electrode Accidents in Submerged Arc Furnace Nine

Poor oxidation resistance of electrode paste

1. Section status: The electrode is obviously thinner, and the side surface is seriously oxidized.

2. Other phenomena: the submerged arc furnace is operating normally, there is no water leakage, there is no change in the use of the fan, and there is no power outage.

3. Reason analysis: the electrode paste has poor oxidation resistance. Excessive oxidation will make the electrode thinner and the overall strength of the electrode will decrease, and it will easily break when it is impacted by a large external force. The poor oxidation resistance of the electrode paste and the corrosion of the electrode caused by the lack of carbon are that the thinner under the material surface is generally due to the larger factor of the lack of carbon, and the thinner material surface is the poor oxidation resistance of the electrode paste.
