Compressibility of electrode paste


The electrode paste sample (small paste or column paste) is heated under a fixed low pressure in the compressibility laboratory, as shown in Figure 5. In the actual self-baking electrode system, the pressure on the liquid electrode paste appears as the weight of the small paste.

When the temperature rises, the electrode paste begins to flow and fill the mold. During the experiment, the volume density of the electrode paste sample continued to increase, and finally reached the maximum value that the electrode paste could reach. Correlate with the maximum volume density of the raw paste and calculate the percentage of compression achieved at each temperature.

In this way, we can get information about the better compressibility of any electrode paste in the electrode paste column. We measured the compression percentage at each temperature point.
