Method for producing and processing metal aluminum powder

1. Melt extrusion method:

This method is to heat and extrude metal pigments and other components (resins, etc.) of powder coatings through a screw extruder. Although metallic pigments and powder coatings can be completely mixed, the orientation of metallic pigments in high-viscosity melts is insufficient. In addition, in the next crushing process, the flake structure of the pigment will inevitably be destroyed. When the metal powder produced by this method is constructed, the metal effect is gray. Therefore, this method is only used to make hammer grain powder.

2. Dry mixing method:

The method is to add the metal pigment dry powder to the crushed powder coating and mix it with a mechanical mixer. The advantage of the dry blending method is that the mixing of metallic pigments and powder coatings is not too intense, prevents the flake metallic pigments from deforming, and does not affect the metallic effect. In addition, the loose pigment/resin mixture is also very conducive to the orientation of the metallic pigments and improves the glitter effect. The disadvantage of this method is that when using automatic spraying equipment to process and recover the powder, the metal pigment and the resin powder particles are quite different in shape, density, and charge, resulting in separation.

3. Bonding-Process:

This method heats the metallic pigment, the powder coating and the powder coating at the same time, so that the temperature just exceeds the softening point of the resin. At this time, the metal pigment can be fixed and adhered to the surface of the viscous resin powder to prevent separation of the metal pigment and the resin powder during and after construction during recycling.
